Unlucky for me all I really found were a bunch of home organizing sites, (the same ones over and over) coming up from my Google search. They all basically said the same thing.
And that was the main problem These lovely sites, written by awesome home managers, already have sparkling kitchens and tidy entry ways. They sure tell you how to replicate their results, but what they seemed to keep forgetting was that I was conically housework phobic.

I needed to learn how to care enough about an organized home, that would make me for some reason want to do it. I had to learn to be house proud, punctual, and follow through with my decisions, when it came to domestic business.
I needed to learn the most important parts to organize your house and cut the [clutter], not the bits about flashy labels.
Where’s the 80/20 Principal when it comes to home organization?
Surely 80% of the results would come from 20% of the work? It seems to with everything else.

I never did find the solution that I was after, but after 5 or so years of looking, I’m happy to say, that by taking a little bit from here and a bit from there, I have the solution to the problem.

‘Little effort equals little rewards, and big effort equals big rewards’.
If we know the correct things to do and we’re willing to put in the effort, there is a much better chance that we will obtain the ultimate goals we seek, along with the rewards and accolades that often follow.
Sometimes to be able to have the motivation to put in the effort, requires, that someone is there to give us a push. That’s why we all need people in our lives who can act as our own cheerleaders.
Having someone, or even a group like our Facebook Group, can help with keeping you on track. We’d love to invite you to hang out at our Facebook Page and if you need that pat or that kick, we’ll all be there to do it for one another.
Help getting you motivated
When looking for people to help keep you motivated, you need to make sure that they are people who will be happy for your achievements.
They need to be there to give you a pat on the back when you succeed.
They need to be there to give you a push when you get unmotivated and fall behind.
Personal Cheerleaders and Butt Kickers
That’s why it’s important to have motivating factors in your life. I recommend your very own personal cheerleaders. These people can be your spouse, your sister-in-law, a good friend–anyone who will not only be happy for your accomplishments, but who will also give you a pat on the back once in awhile, or a little friendly push (or kick in the butt) when you’re falling behind.
Interim rewards are great and scientifically proven for helping achieve goals you have set, that aren’t particularly mentally focused.
For example, studying for tests and exams, its been found, that motivation should be more intrinsically focused.
But for achieving your organizational goals, or sticking to your diet, a reward such as a trip to the beauty salon, an evening out with your girlfriends or a new pair of shoes, are often all you need for a target for making the goal stick. They are called extrinsic rewards.

I sympathize with you. I know exactly where your coming from because I, also have a thousand things I’d rather be doing than cleaning or sorting drawers.
