Affiliate Marketing
All the products for keeping your office organized “products” are from Amazon. The links are straight to the product, and if you decide to buy, may result in me getting a small commission. The price does not change, if you decide to buy straight from Amazon, and not use the affiliate link. That means the commission for me, would come straight out of Amazons profits, and not paid for by the person buying the product.
The Key to Affiliate Marketing
That’s exactly how affiliate marketing works. You go to a site like Amazon.com as an example and open an affiliate account. Amazon is one of the most popular platforms for people just getting started in affiliate marketing, as they have tons of products across tons of different categories. In order for you to earn some money, you simply need to write a review on the product alone, or do as I have done above, and write a review on a number of products from the same category.
How do you get paid
When your readers come to your site and read the article you have written for your product review, they may decide to buy the product or products that you are reviewing. If they do, and use the link that you have included, that has your affiliate code embedded in it, providing they make the purchase, in the set period of time, generally 60 days, and keep the product, you will make your affiliate commission. First up the commission rate is quite low, around 4% of the advertised price, however, as you sell more items, your commission goes up. That’s how it works with Amazon. Different sites offer different commissions. Some like Amazon offer a straight commission rate, others like commission junction and share a sale offer rates, dependent upon what the seller is offering.
Other sites for learning Affiliate Marketing
I recently stumbled upon this site, called stack the money. It has lot’s of information on different types of Affiliate Marketing ways of making money. Check out this article on How the guys there made around $8000 a week for a couple of weeks by promoting an affiliate program which was looking for sign ups for a movie quiz. They used a Facebook advertising campaign to get the people to go to the site, they would have paid the money for the adds on Facebook, but with each link from their add to the site, their affiliate link would have been embedded, giving them payment for each and every person that clicked the link. Blog Challenge Day 39 Blogging While Angels Sleep
Today for our blog challenge day 39, open an account with Amazon Affiliates and find a product that is related to your niche, for you to write a review on and include an affiliate link to. For those who are new to RHB our blog challenge was to write 90 posts in 90 days.
It became totally impossible, due to the length of our posts and life being as life is. (Internet crashes, school holidays, winter flu) But mainly because of the importance of writing for epicness instead of quantity. Rather than give up, we are battling on, and publishing posts as close to the 90 in 90 as we can.
The main focus of the challenge however, was to create blogs, which after the 90 days, would be well on their way to earning us money from blogging. This we are keeping on track. The posts over the period of the challenge will incorporate, everything that is needed to know, in order to earn money on-line. And especially to earn money from your own, WordPress web hosted blog.
