Google on building natural links: Friday again already! Just picked Joshua up from school, back from school camp. They spent Thursday night at school for their camp this year would you believe. Poor kids, but I guess the teachers had a reason for it. Was very cold there this morning he said, but overall they had a good time. I worried about him being cold most of the night, even saying to my DH a few times, “I think I should drive down to school and take Josh a blanket and a warmer jacket.” “He’ll be right honey,” I’m told, and yes, he survived.
Life gets so busy at times doesn’t it? We race here and there, frantically, with barely a minute to spare someday s. The main reason for this is that we take on too much. Too often we are afraid to say “No” to those who want of our time. For me however, there has been another reason for being a tad preoccupied, and spending way less time blogging than I would like to of late.
So what have you been doing Sharon, I hear you all chanting? Well lots of stuff!
But first I have a quick blogging tip for you.
Google says Natural Links for Google Friendly Sites
Just yesterday, while reading up something on Google Webmaster Tools Help, I noticed an entry from Google on creating Google Friendly Sites. The entry is dated 29.05.13. It is the most current information on creating links for Google Friendly Sites, both for blogs and websites. ( Would you like a blog of your own? Read this post on starting a wordpress self hosted blog).
Now we all know that one of Googles many algorithms for ranking in the search engine ranking pages, or SERPs for short, is to do with links pointing to your website or blog.
Google on building natural links
The more high quality hyperlinks, or links for short, coming from other websites and blogs, to your website or blog the better. Some natural links are worth more link juice, we’ll call it, than others.
It’s like comparing links to fruit juice, or petrol, as an example. When it comes to fruit juice, you have your premium 100% hand squeezed and strained fruit juice, like premium quality petrol, this is the top tier and most expensive in their respective ranges.
In blogs you have your top tier sites also. These are the sites that have been online for a considerable time, some as many as 8 years + . They post frequently, are well trusted by everyone, and receive visitors in the millions, over the course of a year. In old terms these guys carry a PR (page rank) of anything from PR 6 to PR 9, and a link from one of these guys, will do wonders for your site in the search engines.
At the lower end of the scale you see 25% fruit juice, the remainder, paying for nothing but plain old water, mixed with your fruit juice. In petrol terms, using something like E10 is probably on par.
In blog land however, just because a site is new and has, at this point, only a pr0 or pr1, doesn’t mean the links aren’t worth having.
In natural terms, a blog should have links from these level sites, providing the links are coming from a page that is relevant to the page that it is linking too. If not relevant, it’s probably best not to have it.
Where can I get Natural Links?
Many blog directories, and bookmarking sites, also carry high pr and links from these sites are easier to obtain. The same goes for the top article directories, some forums and sites that have question and answer type themes.
These are the places that you can look to for building your own linking profiles.
But: and here is the big but, (ha lol, big butt!, reminds me of someone close to me,) they must be natural links.
By natural links, Google means and I quote, “Only natural links are useful for the indexing and ranking of your site”

For Link Information from the Pro’s
I use seobook.com for lot’s of my info on building links, along with searchenginewatch.com. The article here, how to train a link builder, was excellent, written only recently and worth reading as a reminder of the never ending, art to building links. (not that I spend nearly, make that any, time doing that).

Life from my Iphone
For a change, I’m going to show you in pictures, from my Iphone, instead of in the usual way, of trying my hardest to paint a picture for you in words.
These are my babies. Meesha and Chubby.
Meesha is the girl and is closest to you, chubby is lying on his back also, in his bed on top of our bed.
See the way her feet are falling off the bed. How cute are your own dogs? Its like your baby when it’s born You think you have the best looking baby in the whole world. Dogs are the same I believe. So I picked up Meesha, my puppy girl I call her, and moved her onto the bed properly, so she wouldn’t fall off. At the same time Chubby changed positions and next thing the two of them are resting their heads on one another. Again Ahh!! so cute.
Daily walk with the dogs for exercise for the three of us
Each afternoon, I take my dogs for a walk to Marburg Races. Yesterday while walking along I noticed this sunflower had sprung up wildly. It was tall, came up to my chin and I’m 164cm or 5ft 45 inches about.
Meet Sid. Born two days previously to proud mum Zar Ruby. Sid is a bay colt and bread to be a thoroughbred racehorse. Mum and Dad live 5 minutes from our house. Both in their 70’s they own about 22 racehorses. Not all in racing anymore, however the retired ones, come and live on their property. The mares, they breed and care for at their place. They also have some retired mares there. One is actually 29 years old. She is very well looked after, and could live for quite a few years yet.
Mum and dad also look after their racehorses when they are spelling. They also raise the foals at home, and have them broken in there as well. The only time horses are away, is either when they are weening them off their mums or when they are in training.
They haven’t had any huge successes like Melbourne Cups, or Group 1 Winners, however they love having the horses, and you never know, one day they might raise a champion.
When it comes to home organization, my mum is a star. Her home is always immaculate, clean and tidy. She really is a super women, when you think, all the work she does on that great big property feeding and looking after all those horses. Did I mention their house is huge, and she takes care of cleaning all of it also. Will take some pics for you guys next time so you can see what I mean. I love her dearly, she is a real inspiration.
Anyway guys, any questions on “Google on building links?” If so you can leave them in the comments.
